Have you even watched enough Scorsese movies to know whether it's one of his top films or not

I, for one, have only seen Hugo (great film), and bits and pieces of both Shutter Island and The Departed. But Raging Bull is on the schedule of my film studies class, and Silence is on my Amazon queue, waiting for the day when I'm finally able to watch it. I think one of those will surpass Hugo to become my favorite Scorcese film almost instantaneously.

I've seen 8 (Goodfellas, Wolf of Wall Street, Taxi Driver, Shutter Island, Silence, Hugo, Casino, The Aviator).  pretty good count and I'm planning on watching most of the other ones in the near future.

You've only seen three of the ten I put above Goodfellas. Weak.

Martin Scorcese is significant to my life because he won the Golden Globes Cecil B. DeMille award the first year I watched the awards show. And there were so many different kinds of breathtaking imagery in his promo video; so many engrossing things to look at, so many references from films I've never heard of. I didn't realize it at the time, but I think that's what made me realize that filmmakers can make so many different kinds of films with their talents. It was probably a reason why I drifted more towards film in the first place.

Whaaaaa?

I know you might've heard one of them's heretical... but srsly, treat yourself to his spiritual trilogy (Last Temptation of Christ, Kundun, Silence).

...wtf

I know I have too much fun ragging on you, but you literally just listed the eight most obvious, most casual, and most basic movies in his oeuvre.

but you always say that, though.

I remember 2015 when they didn't have the horror category because, well, It Follows was going to be the film that won the category, no doubt about that.

I took a Scorsese class in college. I've seen all of his films including his documentaries. You certainly can't call me a casual.
