Between predicting TLJ would have mixed WOM and a significantly worse multi than RO back on OD, to predicting Jumanji could do NATM numbers several weeks before release, to saying Showman might hit 125m+ last weekend...I must say I'm feeling pretty confident about my bold 2018 predictions right about now. :sparta:

If Solo makes less than $300M, I'm gonna go Liam Neeson on your ass.

I'm very excited to see what happens with Showman next weekend now. It's a holiday weekend, so a slight increase may not even be out of the bounds of possibility if it stayed almost flat this weekend. It's a long shot, but a scenario where it hits 100m by MLK Monday could be a possibility.

:ohmygod:

Pitch Perfect 3  (UNI), 3,458 theaters (-10)/ $3.3M  Fri (-50%)/3-day: $10.5M (-37%)/Total: $86.2M/ Wk 3

100 dom would be safe considering post holiday drop off will be blunted by MLK 4-day

Ferdinand  (FOX), 3,156 theaters (-181) / $2.3M Fri (-47%) /3-day: $8.9M(-22%)/Total: $71.6M/ Wk 4

Should cross 85 dom and also Alvin3 after a slightly smaller ow.

Coco(DIS), 1,894 theaters (-210) / $1.6 M Fri (-45%)/3-day: $5.7M(-22%)/Total: $192.2M / Wk 7

Good shot at beating Ratatouille, 205-210 dom probably

Really disappointed that Jedi didn't have a worse drop. It's already made so much money I want to see meltdowns.

It still have the worst drop among top 10, with the only film to drop more than 50%, you can't really drop much if the holiday effect is still on

Star Wars: The Last Jedi(DIS), 4,232 theaters (0)/ $6.8M Fri (-64%)/3-day: $23.8M (-55%)/Total:$572.8M/ Wk 4

If it follows RO after the weekend it will get 572.8 + 2.5*23.8 = 632+ dom

But I think 2.3-2.4x would be more realistic.

I'm happy that PP3 is going to hit $100m. Not interested in watching this one in theaters but I enjoyed the first two (especially the first) so it's nice this one is going to hit $100m after a disastrous OW.

Kind of weird that the two films (TGS and PP3 - both musicals) are going to end up finishing over $100m. But honestly...TGS is on another level entirely.

If it follows RO after the weekend it will get 573.4 + 2.5*24.5 = ~635

But I think 2.3-2.4x would be more realistic, which gives closer to 630 dom.

It looks like Deadline updated TLJ numbers again.

Agreed. But will add that PP3's prod budget is about 40m less than TGS (45 vs 83).

PP3 ww on Thu was 75.8 dom + 30.3 os = 106.1

If it does 105 dom + 75 os  = 180 ww, will have done 4x the prod budget.
