I think The Post will have a much stronger Friday, I imagine it's going to be more walk in heavy considering the subject matter. I think if it can match Captain Phillips then it'll be a win for Fox and at $50m, it's not that expensive and I imagine it'll do $150-170m WW

Still, it isn't like previews have doubled since 2015. Previews, while arguably more prominent now, were still a big thing in 2015

Hell, American Sniper did 5.3M that day

That and Paddington is a family movie, so it's not like it's a movie that would do great midnight numbers.

The Post previews :sadno: Maybe it needed Post Malone providing the score and not John Williams? It's been packed all day at my theater, so we'll see how today goes.

And people thought I was nuts for thinking it could be in the low-teens with how it performed last night at my theater. Hah.

I think WB will be pleased with how Paddington 2 did Thursday wise and I think it'll probably be on par with the first film's four day opening

Since it's only a film they paid for the distribution rights for, I think they'd be fine with anything over 50m.

Den of Thieves' run time is long without credits! Phantom Thread must have short credits as the actual runtime is 130 minutes.

They paid $30m for distribution and they probably didn't pay much for P&A so it'll make a decent profit and they'll have first dibs on Paddington 3.
