Shang-Chi sequel is being officially developed.  

People will see what they want to see, the hell with the facts. You have some people over in the Fantastic Beast forum who sill insist that Dumbledore was a success and there will be  a fourth FB film.

That Shang CHi is getting a sequel is an example of how the size of the a budget can make all the difference. It made around 20 Million more then Eternals at the box office..not a huge difference but SHang Chi cost 150 Million as opposed to Eternal's 200 Million and for that reason it made a good profit for Disney. Eternals did not. 

Which is a main.reason why Shang CHi is getting a sequel for sure, and Eternals is, at best still up in the air
I alos think as a personal opinion that Shang CHi was a much more entertaining film then Eternals, but that is just my opinion. I though Eternals was something of a mess,

The main problem with Eternals is the excess of characters, it's not only 6, it's 10 of them and none was previously introduced despite all being too relevant for the plot. 

 

It's a conceptual problem that could be even worse if ended up with 12 Eternals like it was supposed to have. 

 

 

Fair enough didn't think about that. But still stand on the point chloe zhao needs to be changed.

 

And  GOTG with obscure characters worked gang busters.

 

Ok sure the avengers were set up better but still in the movie itself each had a distinctive personality and balanced well together even for those who hadn't watched all the movies before 

Watched avengers having only watched ironman 1 and the movie still worked for me.

 

Some should definitely be cut but these movie had  nomadland syndrome which works fine for a character study but it ain't good for ensemble movies .

 

Cast is good but they need someone who can get the best out of them.

The Eternals was a case of some good ideas, but  poor executiion.
