Tuesday Numbers | Incredibles 2 ~ 27M

Recommended Posts

$26.9-27M for Incredibles 2 is incredible!

Bigger first Tuesday than Infinity War, Avengers, Black Panther, The Last Jedi, and Jurassic World.

And as @aabattery points out, it is the 6th best Tuesday of all time. The only better grosses are Tuesday openers or Star Wars films, with two of the three better Star Wars Tuesdays being their second Tuesday in the midst of Christmas holidays.

These are huge, huge numbers for any film, let alone an animated film.

Peace,

Mike

People, when Mon is already too big, Tue increase will be muted or even decrease. This happens again and again with TA, JW, TFA, IW.

Stop freaking out, $600M is likely imo.

Considering how it's done so far I don't think people were expecting a ~10% increase.

14% increase. Lower than Dory (18%) and IO (24%). If it follows the former from here it gets a $85m second weekend.

You also have to remember that it’s a much bigger number than either of those two.  There gets to a point where if a movie is selling out theaters anyways, cheap Tuesday will have a smaller effect, and in cases like IW, a negative one.

Look Out MoviePass: AMC Theatres Adds $20/Month Movie Ticket Subscription Service

AMC Theatres has upped the ante in the monthly movie ticket subscription war with MoviePass, and is adding a new tier to its current rewards program called AMC Stubs A-List.

For $19.95 a month, members will get three movies a week (defined as Friday through Thursday; approximately 12 titles a month), along with all the benefits of the theater chain’s rewards program AMC Stubs Premiere. The program kicks off on Tuesday, June 26 and members can reap the benefits immediately.

That’s actually a pretty good deal, especially since you can get Dolby.  Plus, you don’t have to worry about AMC going under like MP

What is everyone's WW total for the film? Considering how well it's performing, I wouldn't be surprised if it goes over a billion.

1B is locked.

I am thinking 600M DOM + 650M OS.

Finally a chain who's trying to compete...way better deal than Cinemark's deal...now, if only I had a dang AMC convenient to me...

EDIT: But STILL no family plan...if you could use the 3 tickets for 3 people in your family profile, someone would finally have a winning plan...

Venom will be gigantic!!! Venom and antman2 is 3 months apart, which is too long and I can foresee that how the demand in 3 months got accumulated!!

Judging from the back-to back success since BP to IN2, 3 months is too long and moviegoers can't stand with this scarcity !

Venom might make Alien numbers, at best.

Venom ($300M+/$770M) > Aquaman ($240M/$585M) > Ant Man 2 ($230M/$700M) at the box office, worldwide switch AM2 with over Aquaman.

3-4 million gain, maybe huge jumps for everything, Book Club will be looking higher than Fri & Sun.

Can you see a scenario where it hits 70 million?
