I'm not particularly surprised that TROS is performing the way it is there.

Only making $18m in China is pretty abysmal when you consider the first film made $120m there.

Viktor Vilotijevic
I would say Oscar nomination for screenplay is a lock now.

It'll be nominated for original and likely win but WGA but non-members can't compete. QT, Wang, Almodovar are not eligible.

35MM-18
So the film's been nominated for Best Original Screenplay at the BAFTAS. I think "Academy Award Nominee Rian Johnson" is all but inevitable.

JohnnyGossamer
Excellent. I expect a Best Picture Oscar nomination as well for Knives Out.
Viktor Vilotijevic
I doubt it, but I wouldn't be surprised. Over the last ten years that situation of being nominated for Best Picture and just one other thing happened five times: 1. "The Post" - Best Picture, Best Actress In A Leading Role 2. "Selma" - Best Picture, Best Original Song 3. "Extremely Loud, and Incredibly Close" - Best Picture, Best Actor In A Supporting Role 4. "A Serious Man" - Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay 5. "The Blind Side" - Best Picture, Best Actress In A Leading Role I can see "Ford v Ferrari" getting a nomination instead.
wildphantom
Craig is definite a shot to get a supporting actor nod in my opinion. That performance was as memorable as any last year
Viktor Vilotijevic
Nope. Pitt, Pesci, Pacino and Song Kang-ho are lock nominees. Fifth spot is either Hanks, Dafoe or Hopkins.

TalismanRing
Supporting in male is even more packed than in lead where Lionsgate has him positioned. I don't see it either for Craig. Knives Out is also worthy of Production Design and Costume Design - and has been nominated in both Guild Awards FvF doesn't look to make any acting categories either at Oscars. It's biggest shot is probably in Sound.
