Friday bump roughly 210, similar to what we’re seeing here. Sat bump might be as small as 15% for a 36M wknd or so.

Same issue with Scary Stories, an absurd +330% Friday thanks to the 13th. Seems like Deadline forgot too. Maybe 1.4 or something.

Lmao @ those Goldfinch numbers, I thought it was the friday number at first and even that would have been bad. It doesn't surprise me that the movie sucks considering that going by interviews the director seemed to completely miss the message and all the subtext in the book. And just because Goldfinch was a best seller doesn't mean that readers were clamoring for a movie adoption in the first place.

 

Surprisingly low cinemascore for Hustlers since it's supposed to be a crowdpleaser. Maybe the misleading marketing? I guess some Lizzo and Cardi B fans were disappointed that they don't have much screentime and some were expecting a more lighthearted and low-brow movie.

You guys do understand that Hustler's B- is deflated by disgruntled Cardie B and Lizzo fans right? They are downgrading the movie everywhere (IMDB, RT) cause their faves don't have bigger roles in it.  Well, over 30M OW is happening, JLo wins!

Great OW for Hustlers, FINALLY we have another small movie truly breaking out this year, it was basically only US and The Upside this year.

If IT2 attracted a larger share of audience due to Friday the 13th then it must have taken some away from Hustler's OD possibly? They are both at a similar 13m on Fri and IT2's share of the weekend could decrease on Sat and Sun potentially pushing Hustler higher than we think (unsubstantiated guess work on my part)

🤦‍♂️ how I feel realizing the Friday the 13th stuff is why IT is so out of whack..... should have realized that. 

 

Good for most films otherwise. Getting curious if Lion King is actually going to make it closer too 700 than 400.... a few more substantial holds like this weekend and it might.
