a2k
Joker should be 329.5-330.0+ by Sunday and go over BVS next weekdays if not by Sunday itself.
charlie Jatinder
I know lately my early numbers in Summer and now Frozen 2 aren't as good as they were pre Aladdin, but gonna take a shot on it. Going by Wednesday pre-sales, expecting 23-25 today. Please note these are projections from pre-sales, not during the day. Just for perspective of this speculation; PS are more than 2x Ralph 2 OD Around +7% Tuesday in USA, Canada is down obviously. narniadis
Yeah the major difference this year is that a big family film (like what Disney usually releases) isnt opening today. That usually causes the "bigger" falls with holdover family flicks. That being said, the massive cheap Tuesdays we have seen this year shouldn't have surprised us today, 20m was my high guess yesterday and I am glad it appears to have gotten there. Todays behavior should be flat or a tiny drop -5% but hardly an increase if any based on past behavior this week.

Well, if Disney really cares to push Frozen 2 over $500M DOM, let alone over Beauty and the Beast’s $504M...then i don’t see why it wouldn’t. Looking at last year on Wednesday, films didn't increase much, if at all. Tuesdays are so frikkin big now that films can't really go up much. The Grinch went up 3% but Instant Family among others, fell slightly. The Grinch also increased by "just" 46% on Tuesday......Frozen went up much more so perhaps a flat Wednesday or a slight decrease might be in store. To be fair, Grinch also faced direct competition from new release Ralph Breaks the Internet, hence the small increase.
Lordmandeep
Frozen 2 could hit 500 million as I think it will have solid legs till Jan .
cdsacken
Remember price per ticket increases and literally no one is going to school and almost no one to work tomorrow. I'm going with flat or close to it as well.
MattW
Last year grinch dropped a bit on Wed with higher ticket prices meaning admissions were down significantly. Hunger games all went up 20-30% on Wed meaning flat or very slight drop in admissions. So is frozen more similar to grinch or to hunger games
LegendaryBen
Quote In its fifth day of release, Disney’s Frozen 2 scored the best Tuesday ever in November with an estimated $21.1M. This is after landing November’s best Monday with $12.77M reported by Disney yesterday. On both days, Anna and Elsa beat Lionsgate’s Hunger Games: Catching Fire which held previous November highs for Monday ($12.3M) and Tuesday ($15.96M). Among all animated movies, Frozen 2 looks like it’s the third best Tuesday behind Incredibles 2 ($27M) and Finding Dory ($23.1M). If Disney reports a lower figure than $20.57M, which is what Toy Story 4 made on its Tuesday, then Frozen 2 is the fourth best Tuesday for a feature toon. Running tally for Frozen 2 is at $164.1M. By the end of Thanksgiving rival distrib sources believe the Jennifer Lee-Chris Buck sequel will stand at $200M, with K-12 schools out today at 80%, colleges at 63% and everyone out on Thursday and Friday. Current second weekend forecast for Frozen 2 stands at $84M. Lionsgate’s head previews last night for Rian Johnson’s Knives Out grossed $1.66M off shows that started at 7PM, raising its total preview cash including weekend money to $3.7M. Pic opens in 3,391 theaters today and expands to 3,461 by Friday. Pic has a 96% certified fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes. Lionsgate will add the $3.7M previews and sneaks into today’s opening total. 2
