They already have one planned.

Though I am sure that Kobe having been  the star of the Lakers for so many years has a lot to do with that. Hollywood is full of Lakers fans...Jack Nicholson is a long, long, way from being the only star/Hollywood big shot who is a Lakers fan. The film community in LA and the Lakers have had a long love affair.

Performing...what? She's not nominated for anything.

Queen performed last year and the band themselves weren't actually nominated for anything.

Billie has a lot of moody ballads and would be good on an In Memoriam segment. That would be a weird thing to hype like this, though. Maybe she'll just sing Bad Guy, because it was in every other movie trailer/ad last year. The Bond song if it's at least decent (and even if it's not, lol) has a good chance to be nominated, so she can't sing it this year at the Oscars, I wouldn't think...

They (and Adam Lambert) were there as obvious Bohemian Rhapsody baiting lol.

If I had to guess she's performing during In Memorium (couldn't be worse than a few years back when they invited Jennifer Hudson to perform, of all things, her song from the flop series Smash after the montage had already concluded lmao). Or maybe she's performing with Elton since Taron's unlikely to attend the ceremony?

If true, those tweets about Parasite are plenty frustrating. Reading subtitles doesn't require an undue amount of cognitive effort anyway, but we're also talking about a movie that's shot, acted, and edited so clearly and precisely that you could hypothetically watch it without the subtitles (and without knowing the language) and still be able to figure out most of what's going on.
