This is so odd for me, esp friday. Hard to say on the numbers for friday, maybe another day of sales-keep getting the feeling that this will be more a walkup/wom movie, which would be a bit of a surprise for this kind of IP. I would have thought that the tagline of "final jurassic" film might get people interested, esp with most of the original cast of original JP in it, but just seems some lukewarm so far. But we shall see how the days and weekend go

Halloween Ends is going back for two weeks of reshoots.

Could It still make it's October release date?

Its not the same demographic, but just saw (for me) first trailer for Black Adam with an Oct 21 release date, Oct could be an interesting month for releases.

It would be interesting to see Ends move to the 7th...

150M would still be a success. Obviously it would be disappointing in the context of inflation, but not dropping in raw numbers from Fallen Kingdoms OW is definetly not a catastrophe.

The dangerous territory begins sub 140M imo. Then ... oh boy, then its not looking too good.

It need to open above FK to be considered for $400m+ domestically. Anything above $200M locks in $1B WW.

Honestly without the original cast Dominion was looking at a drop from FK into a 300M total or so. Staying flat from FK can definitly be attributed to bringing back Sam Neill and company.

Colin Trevorrow must be depressed with the reception of The Book of Henry, getting fired from Star Wars, and now delivering the worst reviewed Jurassic Park film.

Colin Trevorrow could hold his high if he delivered a movie which entertains audience even if gets trashy reviews.

But if he has made a movie which is boring then lol, thank you for JW but time to leave.

With all the money he is making with these movies, I think he will be fine.

But you know, it is funny when you think how Star Wars and Jurassic World both had similar stories with opposite results for him. He was supposed to direct the end of the trilogy, but poor audience reception on the second movie made the studio backtrack and got him out, but then he was not initially supposed to direct the third Jurassic World, it had again poor reception on the second movie and again the studio backtracked but this time he got the job.

He was fired from Episode 9 months before Episode 8 was released.

Speculation of course but with all the previews that have dropped this week it's probably going to be a productive few weeks in terms of trailer releases. Halloween Ends is an obvious attachment with The Black Phone but we'll also likely see premieres like Salem's Lot (another obvious Black Phone attachment), The Woman King, Ticket to Paradise, Amsterdam, etc. all premiering over the next few weeks to take advantage of the prime trailer real estate in theaters coming up. Gonna be surprised if Sony doesn't drop a teaser for the Whitney Houston movie in time for Elvis given the obvious genre overlap since a poster is already out in theaters.
