Sony decided to reboot the franchise in 2016 because Bill Murray refused for decades to make a Ghostbusters 3, so why is he doing these new ones? Have this been addressed?

Didn’t the story go that he had a feud with Harold Ramis for the longest time, and they only managed to patch things up shorty before Ramis’ death?

God, the supporters of the failed 2016 reboot just will not quit.

First thing first, is they need to make it how it is released on DVD sill.  The packages with the whole series literally cut it out.

Genuinely confused at this marketing now. The first movie hid the older Ghostbusters in the marketing in favour of the new cast, this one seems to be "You guys like the old Ghostbusters right?"

Not confusing at all. The studio took notice how the audeince reacted when the original Ghostbusters made their appreance and decided emphasizing them was the way to go in the sequel.

They already kept them hidden for one film and then gave them a big reveal.  Hard to do that again.

which was pretty dumb. For better or worse, if the original Ghostbusters had been front and center in Afterlife it would have done better

I have the same question, he killed real Ghostbusters 3 by refusing to do it for decades and dragging this whole thing until Ramis died, but suddenly he has no issues with showing up for this nonsense, previous one and 2016 reboot. Probably money problem he didn't have back then or Sony using that legal trick to force him to do it, there's no other explanation, I don't believe for a second he loved last scripts, he phoned it in while doing the previous one, he doesn't care at all.
