In this wet dream run, ASIA ($680m) even without CHINA really over-powers whole of EUROPE ($610m) now.  Also, It is tougher for EUROPE to put out those numbers than for ASIA. If Just Japan, South Korea or India over-perform, they can reach $650m but Europe needs almost all countries to perform their BEST.

It is tough to believe but Exactly two year ago, this Chart with almost same LOCAL Gross numbers was touching 4.1 Billion~  but now, it's down to 3.4 Billion~ [China tops out at 850m...even when it will outgross TBALC in LC.]

15M admits in Korea will likely be around $180-200M.

Absolute best case Europe probably higher.

I do agree the FX is moving very unfavorable against A2 but crazy inflation has sort of moderate the FX losses. Also, I think we will never find a more quiet December like in 2022 in any other year going forward. It is not just a quiet December, but the entire second half, that would highlight A2 as major cinematic event even more.

15m Admits ~ at ATP of 12$/13$ = $180m
Confidential Assignment 2 is at  ATP of $7.4 & Top Gun's 8m Admit is US$ 62m..... ATP of $7.75, Just how much ATP PRICE Increase you think Koreans can bear?

I didn't take Absolute best case in Europe because then in India, Avatar could reach Bahubali 2 & Japan can do Demon Slayer run again. I simply took highest Hollywood movies gross + added some more bonuses to them.  Few Countries in Europe may go down even more as Winter comes.

Avatar re-release has ₩16,375 ATP, which at current ER is $11.4. Though if the ER get a bit better to 1200-1300, that will be $13.5.

Avatar 2 may have a bit lower ATP as that will have some 2D showings, but then also IMAX and 4DX which this re-release doesn't have, so may be it will equalise.

Does anyone have a list of countries where Avatar isn't the top grossing film ever but just in the top 10? So we can see if after the first weekend it already managed to gain some positions in the various all-time rankings...

Disney's re-issue of 20th Century's Avatar started out in third with an estimated $10.00 million. The re-release of James Cameron's 2009 blockbuster film performed in line with expectations and delivered the largest domestic opening weekend for a re-issue since way back in April of 2013 (Jurassic Park 3D). Avatar also achieved this weekend's gross from a relatively modest 1,860 locations, which gave the film a very solid per-location average of $5,376 for the frame. That was the strongest per-location average of any film in wide release this weekend and suggests that Avatar would have opened at least somewhat higher this weekend with a wider release. Also of note is that Avatar didn't have Thursday preview shows; further limiting the amount of showtimes for the film this weekend. With that said, Avatar was helped out in a big way this weekend by 93 percent of the film's grosses coming from higher-priced 3D screens, including 27 percent from IMAX 3D. All IMAX screens represented 29 percent ($2.9 million) of this weekend's domestic total.

Internationally, Avatar grossed an estimated $20.5 million this weekend from 50 international markets; placing the global start of the re-issue at $30.5 million. International starts for Avatar this weekend included $2.9 million in France, $1.5 million in Italy, $1.3 million in Germany, $1.3 million in the United Kingdom, $1.3 million in South Korea, $1.3 million in Mexico, $0.9 million in Australia and $0.8 million in India. In the coming week, Avatar will open in Spain. Avatar grossed an estimated $3.1 million from international IMAX screens this weekend. Avatar remains the highest grossing film of all-time globally in IMAX, with a current lifetime global IMAX take of $264 million

India.

Avatar was 3rd highest grosser ever in India at time of release.

3 Idiots - ₹273cr

Ghajini - ₹157cr

Avatar - ₹139cr

Edit: I misunderstood it. France is one that can go for highest grosser.

Just checking Korea, a bit of confusion there, it can go for 3rd position from 4th.

Could sure China will giva Avatar big surprise, but Avatar is the Probably last lament for HLW in China

Consider Marvel is banned in China ,and FF,TS series is not as Popular as their peak time now,Have to claim that The only HLW movie which have potential to challenge local Blockbuster right now is Avatar,if Avatar lose it,then I can clear say HLW is half dead in China
