Not the same thing as this, and perhaps before your time, but I'm reminded of when Astros manager Larry Dierker collapsed in the dugout after suffering a grand mal seizure back in 1999 and had to be taken away with an ambulance.  The game was rightfully postponed as NO ONE was in the right mind to continue with the game.

 

The longer they take to make the postponement announcement, the worse this looks.

Similar thing happened at the Euros in 2021 when Christian Eriksen went into cardiac arrest on the pitch. they actually continued the match and his team lost.

I would think it has to be Cardiac related. Some type of trauma induced cardiac arrest. They were apparently doing CPR for quite some time.

Doctors have been speculating that it was Commotio Cordis, which normally is a ball or puck to the chest that leads to exactly what you saw on the field.  Prayers up for Damar Hamlin and his family.

Wasn't really paying attention to the game until about 30min after the injury. It's been scary to watch everyone's reactions on replays and as they talk about new updates.

Never heard of it, so looked it up … and there’s less than 30 cases are reported each year - really a freak occurrence 

 

I wasn’t watching live (kids wanted to watch Shazam, so I was going to catch-up later), but seeing the slow response from the NFL in the aftermath leaves something to be desired

Monday is still part of New Year Weekend BO. Weekdays should be from tomorrow. Monday should go up from estimates. Not sure about exact number at this point but I would guess 21m+.

Yup, BOM used to have that one. For the upcoming ones, I just rely on the estimates box office accounts on Twitter usually post.
