It's kinda crazy to think about how the entire MCU Spider-Man trilogy released between GOTG 2 and 3.

 

Obviously, extenuating circumstances, but still.

Yeah the hype for Transformers is way bigger than what it ever was for Shazam, Dark Phoenix or MIB International where not even the fans cared. The amount of likes on Facebook, Twitter, TikTok and Youtube doesn't look like a movie that "no one cares" when it has been outperforming Fast X and the last trailer has more likes than The Flash on the main youtube channel.

Kind of agree. Its either swim or drown for this years summer releases. Transformers should be able to clear $500M, maybe even $600M depending on OS, but I don't think its touching numbers in the 800s or 900s

Just back from watching it. This is not a dark film, mental that critics would claim that.

Only negative is what I think most felt - Gamora had no real place in the film, she would have been better left dead honestly.

If flash does those numbers I’d be shocked. I expect Indy to be higher.

I think you're really overestimating Spider Verse (double plus the original??) and Flash and low balling Indy. Barbie is right on the money though.

Its not revisionist history and as @MovieMan89 noted, we had discussed it in passing before (as an example he didn't like )

I just find it a difficult example when it was still playing for almost 6 months...

I didn't get the Dune trailer at my premium screen showing and it nearly ruined my day lol. 

 

Edit: Nor did I get Flash or Oppenheimer. But I did get Hunger Games which people laughed at lol.
