TA1, IW and EG all had crazy Sunday holds because of WOM and spillover from sellouts. Bodes really well for GOTG legs!

So 16-17% drop, 300M is locked 

 

There’s no way i can think of about how this movie would pull sub 2.5x after not only a great SAT jump but also an insanely good SUN 

 

This is not the typical MCU sequel performance, we have SAT, SUN and OW IM backing that up 

 

Waiting until next MON to see the second weekend hold before fully enter the 350M club with Charlie and Legion, but that’s looking way more reasonable now than sub 300

Yeah that Sunday hold would be insane. 300 should indeed happen with that. Still hesitant to go much higher and can’t see 350. Not in this summer.

Held pretty well at the theater i work at as well, not sure on Sunday's final gross but for tickets.... Saturday ended up with 107 3D tickets and 1130 2D tickets for a total gross of $10,864, Sunday had around about 1080 2D tickets and 120-130 3D tickets (Sundays gross is likely a good bit lower due to morning shows being way busier relative to night).

A final gross between Guardians 1 & 2 would be solid. And despite all the doomsayers on this board, MCU is still doing really good. Phase 3 just spoiled everyone and set unrealistic high BO expectations.

I think sub 50 (more like 46-48%) 

 

The WOM kicking in now instead of hype pre-release boosting OW will probably generate spillover for weekdays which will be strong and lead to a smaller drop on 2nd weekend
