Coco | Pixar / Lee Unkrich | Now playing | #1 all-time in Mexico

Recommended Posts

There’s a severe lack of good and/or high-profile animations out this year, especially compare to last year; so if Coco delivered, I think it’ll play really well over break.

Can’t even remember the last time I watched an animated movie in theater this year (LEGO Batman maybe, that would explain why I can’t remember)

With 52 reviews in, it looks like Coco will join Pixar's 90+% class of films on RT. The fact that it opens on a Wednesday makes it difficult to compare to most other Pixar films in terms of potential legs - but with strong reception and the holidays coming up, it could leg out a strong box office performance.

I'm personally looking forward to seeing the film.

I "wonder" if Wonder is going to steal some of CoCo's box office thunder this weekend? Saw this film today and it was filled with crying families and females, a tear-jerker, warm-fuzzy film for sure that might capture a lot of families that CoCo is counting on.
