I wish The Uncharted movie was making progress instead of this. That's the one with all the film potential. AC games are a convoluted ass mess in the story department. They have their work cut out for them.

Why? There's nothing interesting, fresh or intruiging about Uncharted.

Because pulp-adventure movies are great and there should be more of them. It shouldn't be hard to get a good blockbuster out of the Uncharted games. The characters are well-defined, the stories are interesting even if a bit familiar, the locations are beautiful, and the action set-pieces are pretty much already in place.

The Assassin's Creed games are a convoluted, jumbled mess of a story. The original premise is interesting and could make a good, interesting sci-fi, blockbuster, but if not done well... It will be a disaster. Considering the acting talent signed on to the project, I'm optimistic. But it'll be way harder to squeeze a successful blockbuster out of the Assassin's Creed games than it would be with the Uncharted games. If Sony had their shit together, Uncharted would make bank.

We really dont need identical movies we've already seen. Tomb Raider at least had, still shockingly novel for Hollywood starndards, female protagonist. Uncharted is slighty remixed Indiana Jones, nothing more

Well, it's an over the top Indiana Jones. While I don't think Uncharted needs a movie, it could work. Fun setpieces, good chemistry between cast and sharp writing would make it a breezy experience. It's also much easier to adapt than 99% of all other video games, though that's not to say it's an easy task. So yeah, it wouldn't offer anything new, but at least it could be competently done.

While Tomb Raider did feature a female protagonist, it felt like less due to wanting to actually place an interesting female in the franchise, and more just appealing to teenage boys.

We're going to get a scene where Fassbender jumps from a massive height and lands safely on a hay bale I bet.

And I will get up and applaud the awesomeness.
