TalismanRing
This has more sell-outs in the Chicago area than SPECTRE In a battle of sexagenarian characters the doggy wins.

dudalb
In a battle of sexagenarian characters the doggy wins. It is odd to see two of the biggest Pop Culture Crazes of the 1960;s...the Peanuts craze and the James Bond/Spy craze...go against each other. Althought in this case both will be big winners.
mahnamahna
This has more sell-outs in the Chicago area than SPECTRE Peanuts and Spectre both doing $75 million+ on the same weekend would be jaw dropping... Curious to see how that turns out

Yandereprime101189
Could this possibly be a similar situation to last year's Big Hero 6/Intersteller?
WrathOfHan
Could this possibly be a similar situation to last year's Big Hero 6/Intersteller? I can't see Spectre under 70M and Peanuts over 70M.
dudalb
Could this possibly be a similar situation to last year's Big Hero 6/Intersteller? TO go back a bit I think that Casino Royale and Happy Feet might be a better scenario. They ended up within a few million OW of each other. BTW, I was expecting some feedback from those advance screening on the net. Not getting any.
WrathOfHan
We're 9 days out from release and no reviews yet. Fox isn't doing Thursday previews either, are they going to pull a HT2 and embargo it until next Thursday?

AniNate
I suppose that would make it true to the spirit of the comic strip. It never was one of my favorites even as a kid
MovieMan89
Well Blue Sky loves being average, so it's not like this was ever guaranteed to be great. It will probably land in the 65-75% range most of their stuff does.
goldenstate5
Wonder what the embargo is... maybe they're waiting for Halloween to be over so they can shift focus? One thing for sure is that I have heard absolutely NOTHING about this movie in any capacity. The only ones commenting on it are the crew, so I just wonder if this is just "okay". Animated films often do not get reviewed early so there is nothing unusual yet.
goldenstate5
There have been media screenings already. Variety and THR always put out reviews the second they see them if there's no embargo. I remember seeing a Variety review for CARS 2 a good two weeks ahead. (ironically one of its better reviews)
