Also, does anyone know whatever happened to boxofficechina.com ? For a while I found it really useful, provided daily updates on China box office, but it stopped about a year ago. Is there anywhere in English that I can see daily box office figures?

PS is at 20 mill with 1,5 day to go. Thats pretty good.

If it follows a typical pattern we could be looking at a 150-200 mill OD.

But it could be frontloaded with low ratings so its hard to predict

Nah thats highly unlikely. Its gonna lose a lot of screens this weekend when PR2 opens and its making very little per day right now anyways. Maybe max 1-2 million beyond 100m I think

Did about $3.9m for a 10.7% drop from Tuesday which is a decent drop. Right now it stands to lose about 75% screens this weekend although that number will improve by Friday a bit. Still thats a lot of screens to lose and PR2 is gonna be big. 

 

Should clear $70-75 at least

looks good. only losing 1/2 its theaters this weekend. I was thinking $70-75m as well.

still thinking $70-100m, 80s likely.  we'll get the maoyan rating in 6 hours and will know the weekend by 2pm beijing Friday

Thursday Estimates

 

Tomb Raider - 20.32 (-17.3%)

Total - $57.6m USD

Will lose about half of its screen tomorrow and PS is at 2m

 

Black Panther - 5.58 ($0.88)

Total - $100m USD

Finally crosses 100m. Will also lose about half of its screen tomorrow. Maybe will make 3 million or so more from this point

 

Pacific Rim 2 - 8.88 ($1.4m)

 

PS for tomorrow at 45 million. Its rating at the start is 7.7 which is very low and not a very good sign of its legs.
