Idk I just find it funny how the biggest franchise in North America got completely rejected by the 2nd Biggest Market. I say that as a huge Star Wars fan btw but some things need a reality check every once in a while.

Because it's hilarious. The biggest franchise in the world (no more cause MCU is now it) cannot penetrate the most sought-after market in the world. Nobody saw that coming and that's exciting. It's simply the thrill of the unexpected. 

 

I do have some personal reasons such as that I hate NuWars focus on OT era and want them to start thinking outside of that box. And failure is the only thing that can make them do it.

Personally I just think Star Wars as a franchise is incredibly overrated. IMHO all of the Star Wars movies are somewhere between mediocre and pretty good, and yet they end up being rated as these all time greats, so it's nice seeing that not everyone is sucked into this Star Wars craziness.

Maoyan predicting ALOT less. 64.5M Fri (+23%), 100M Sat (+55%), 74M Sun (-26%). 239M total (-81% last weekend). Any chance you’re really overshooting the weekend?
