The trailer freaking brings it. So much destruction and craziness. Looks like they kept the Presidential assassination subplot as well.

Scott has articles already written up for trailer releases since most of the things are already known like the plot and actors etc. Once the trailer is online he posts it and then edits it to suit the actual trailer released. Same with his weekend numbers articles, he has most of it written apart from the actual number which he just plugs in later.

The best part is that it is completely obvious from the trailer that the movie isn't taking itself seriously. That is a recipe for a great disaster flick as well, when everyone involved is doing it with a self aware wink.

Fuck the haters. This is THE event movie of the fall/winter. 

 

The new synopsis is so lame...the old was so much better and this trailer shows that everything is intact. I bet the stuff with the President and sturges is all part of reshoots. Jerry has saved this by adding more AWESOME spectacle and funny shit.

 

I am chuckling at the excitement @grim22 has for this. Indians and their love for disaster porn!
