Even if Zootopia won't reach $1 billion, its guaranteed at least $985 million.

 

If I were a Disney exec, I would just use $15 million from the profits earned already to push it over $1 billion.

 

It will be such a "in your face" victory over rivaling studios... "its only May and we already have 2 movies on their way to billion worldwide gross... and we haven't even released star wars rogue one yet"

 

You can't usually buy that kind of marketing exposure with $15 million

There seems to be a pretty big discrepancy between Zootopia's Sunday totals. Corpse has ¥345,000,000 while edroger3 only has ¥ 305,061,161. Which of those should be considered more accurate, and when and where will the actual total be known?

It depends by how the discount of the first of the month is calculated. BTW, according to Deadline, Zootopia is up 9% from OW, that means 4,5M$ instead of 4,8 (my estimate) and 5,2 (corpse estimate). We'll see.
