I don't know. Now the WOM seems Is reaching the right audience more than the first days.

Just comedy is probably the genre can be more an hit or miss for most people. They were released before the verified audience but for example very beloved comedies with great legs like the hangover, brisedmaids or Ted have RT audiencescore of 84%, 76% and 73%.

Idk if it’s been mentioned yet, but a stage production of the film is a no-brainer. Much of the film basically is a stage production with stage props. Look for Barbie: The Movie: The Musical making it’s Broadway debut in 5-7 years.

The other day there was an article going around about all the people who were going to play Kens in the movie but didn't because of various scheduling issues (Dan Levy, Bowen Yang, Ben Platt...I dunno, I feel like all those guys would've fit more as Mattel workers tbh) and apparently Jonathan Groff was the original choice to play Allan (assume Knock at the Cabin prevented him from doing this) which is hilarious to me because that role fit Cera and his entire screen persona perfectly lmao. He would be ideal as another Ken variant, safe to assume he'll be one of the first people they call for the inevitable spin-off/sequel.

The verified audience score on Rotten Tomatoes took a hit. That seems a bit unusual.

It is being review bombed by the anti-"woke" crowd. It happens with these kinds of films..

Love how Oppenheimer, a film about a communist sympathiser expressing grave concern at the US military machine, escapes the woke accusations.

Woke really just means "includes women, gay or trans characters in prominent roles" nowadays, and for the latter two categories "in prominent roles" isn't even needed

Well a few reviews on YouTube from the "anti-woke" crowd accuse Oppenheimer to be leftist propaganda, so ...

You can't review bomb a verified audience score. That's why they implemented this system.

This is one of the most content-generating movies in a very long time.  People are going to see it so that they can bitch about it on YT for 50 minutes.  They will definitely leave a bad review.

Perhaps but how many of those youtubers are there? Certainly not enough to have a noticeable impact on the score.

Dude really?, when people say youtubers is not youtuber only, is them their audiences, the 4chan crowd, haters on twitter (x now), you seen how for example these people buy a product of a certain company and burn them, so, is nothing to buy a ticket, Not watch the movie and write a negative review, you might say but they are giving the movie money, makes no sense, NO, it does they are that deranged and unhinged. They do that with hopes that their relative small investment leads to more people not seeing the movie with the review bombing.

Oh review bombing is absolutely a thing for sure. With something this big it might not be enough to move the needle, especially since they've changed how they count reviews over the years, but it's definitely a thing that happens.
