This looks just as awful as the original! Really seems like it's trying to mimic The Conjuring 2

Looks much better than the first one to me but that's not a surprise considering the original's quality and Mike Flanagan's credentials.

Still it looks like every other supernatural/possetion horror flick of the last 10 years or so.

 

It will do fine though.

I dunno, seems sequels to hit movies that no one liked have been doing very badly recently.

I don't know maybe you're right. I just feel that this has a very low budget, it looks better than the first and it'll probably get better reviews (that doesn't say much of course...) so it can manage a small drop from the original.

It's sad to see Mike Flanagan wasting his talents on movies like this. Like acab said, it looks the same as pretty much every other possession flick from the past five years. Hopefully The Wailing will change that and show the Yanks how it's done.

The movie looks like The Conjuring 2, beat for beat. Very desperate of them.

Box Office is currently predicting $12m/$29m for this one, while I do agree with their numbers, their reasons are just ridiculous, they're complaining about it being a PG13 movie, does they even know that the first movie was already a PG13 movie? LOL.

It's not like people asked for the original movie anyway, lol. I can see this fatigue happening after the huge gross of Blair, this and Rings will be the ones that will suffer a lot.
