LOL the effects of piracy are being overstated. If people really want to see a movie they will wait to see it in theaters (which is the case for both of those movies). I'd be surprised if The Expendables 3 lost more 10% of its opening gross because of the leak.

 

I think it depends on the quality of the movie. If the movie isn't that great, they will not drive to a cinema and pay for it. If they think the movie is good, to their liking.... a higher to high percentage will still drive to a cinema (but not all)

 

People who planed to watch a movie and judge it as not that great will not be repeat watchers.

 

Especially action loaded movies of the kind with not good ratings... a lot of people are aware about the possibility such kind of movie might be not great and still drive to a cinema to find out for themselves. Once, and than spread the bad WOM.

What they do not have to do anymore after the downloaded viewing.

 

I looked and asked around a bit in some other places, a lot of people tell about friends not driving anymore beside beforehand had planed to do so, not only here in this board.

Do companies still release seperate "widescreen" and "fullscreen" DVD releases? I always assumed everything has generally been widescreen since like 2007.

This isn't real artwork. You don't see "Widescreen"/"Full Screen" anymore because so few people own non-widescreen TVs that they don't bother wasting the money on that anymore (and the term makes zero sense now).
