I just realized..last week's openers legs are shit!

that's expected for Deeds..but it seems that Dolphin is bombing with that already soft opening

Dolphin Tale and bombing do not belong in the same sentence.

+365% for DT2?  Wow.

GotG isn't getting as big as a Friday bump as usual yet it's still holding well enough.  TC loss was light but thinking screen count and showtimes were hit harder.  Also, MR is opening bigger than the mid-20's which was earlier reported.

Now that's a lot nicer of a number than 24m, unless it has a huge Saturday drop (but looking at how non-frontloaded its previews were not all that likely) it should do well.

Yea, with a 1 million dollar Thursday preview, I really doubt it's dropping today.  Based on previous years, it should increase a minimum of 20% today.

I'm surprised that This Is Where I Leave You has a budget of only 19.8M. With OS grosses it'll actually end up bringing money.

How much do these actors work for if the budget is that low?  Half a mill each?

first of all it's a very small movie..why would it cost more? (I know it's an all-star cast but still)

2nd of all..does this movie really have an OS appeal? I mean the movie's premise is about Shiva which is a Jewish ritual when somebody dies..it's like making a movie about Ramadan..not sure how much this will affect its potentials

a good comparison would be the Coen Brother's A Serious Man which only made 30 mil WW
