i dont understand. why does it benefit you? all you peepz, it only benefits the studio and the companies, actors. not you.

Because we people get happy if movies do huge numbers...

So it also benifits us :D

According to screendaily JW did $412m OS as of Wednesday:

http://m.screendaily.com/5089577.article

According to deadline JW will get close to $400m DOM this Sunday:

http://deadline.com/2015/06/jurassic-world-inside-out-weekend-box-office-dope-1201448898/

So, it would need to do $190m OS this weekend to reach $1B WW on Sunday ;) that would be wonderful!!! ;)

Jurassic World has 80% chance of making $1 billion Worldwide by the end of Sunday( 21 june)..

Very impressive! I think that will beat the worldwide box office  of Avengers:Age of Ultron, Avengers (2012) and Furious 7.

Friday-to-Friday drops are around 50%, maybe less. But its Wednesday and Thursday openings of last week will make the weekend drop more than 50%.

Enough drops under 50%, such as the impending drop of under 40% in the UK, could very well offset it's Wednesday and Thursday openings.

$190M overseas this weekend seams unlikely given that $97M of last weekend's take was China's 5 day opening, and China's second weekend take is going to be about $60M lower than that. Jurassic World would have to average a 30% drop in the rest of its overseas territories.

total will end around 1.65-1.75bn WW.

domestic: $650M

International $1.05Bn.

bear in mind JP1 adjusted is $746,406,300 DOM

showing its the immense fan base of the original/dinosaur spielberg wow factor that captures the masses.

Its been over 20 yrs since a decent dinosaur flick

World's RT of 71%, is the 2nd best in the series, and audiences were craving another atleast solid entry.

if done right, franchise potential is atleast equal to avengers, or superheroes in general.

JW is consistently exciting & entertaining, has an appealing cast, and a pretty good & clever dino action. It is seriously lacking in semi-horror feel of the first JP. The T-Rex attack is so intense, I feel it should be rated R. JW although entertaining enough doesn't have that level of intensity leading to a so-so cinematic experience. Having said that, the sequel has the opportunity to amp up dino action now that the franchise has some serious competitions: Godzilla in 2018, Pacific Rim 2 in 2017 and MEG, probably in 2017 as well.
