It is still the total as of Monday only. Generally, it gets updated couple of times before they finalize the number. Probably adding some stragglers. Rth can shed some light on that.

It's at $345,381,633 right now so the number hasn't been finalised yet. Right now it's 30m Mon and counting. What would be a satisfying Mon number? 35m? 40m?

Can't describe how unoriginal this film is. The only mildly interesting featute of the film is Chris Pratt. It is annoyingly similar to Godzilla which was also made by Legendary Pictures (unsurprisingly).

Overall, a gross similar to Godzilla would not surprise me but I think audiences learnt their lesson from last year. It didn't help that Godzilla had bad reception so I believe this will gross less - especially in North America.

Prediction: $140M in NA, $240M elsewhere (only because of China).

This was a very bad call even if this didn't perform the way it did and only got to 800-900m WW. And he even went all - "we'll see". So well we saw. And I would like to hear what he has to say now.

That's quite a biased call, though. He downplayed the movie potential based on his dislike of the film. We all made bad calls regarding JW's numbers but his call probably missed the mark by almost 1b WW.
