So wknd BO was $160.5M, a drop of less than 50% from its preview-inflated opng wknd. WOW.

Breaking the B in record time of 13 days. WOW.

Even if it drops 50% from now on, it will reach $1.45B. WOW.

However, I'm pretty confident Marvel's the Avengers will be kicked out of the Top 3 worldwide. WOW.

Don't forget that it hasn't opened in Japan yet.

It's funny that we have been talking for month whether FF7 or AoU were going to win the year WW... and now it looks like JW is going to beat them both :P

With Japan (predicting at least $50m) to go, the floor of OS seems 1B.

Already 580m OS +:

China 50m+

OS-C (off a 205m week) 135m+85m+50m+25m+25m=320m+

50+50+580+320=1000

1B + 650m = 1.65B

We were talking of the currency problem but now we have F7 at 1.15B, AoU 950m, JW 1B, and Minions heading to 800m. LOL.

2015 is producing a dozen of international blockbusters. There might be as many as 8 1B movies.

So a 155.5m OS weekend, a much better second weekend than DH2's 120.2m.

JW OS total after 2nd wknd: 583.1m

DH2 OS total after 2nd wknd: 559m

Atm JW has a lead of 24.1m.

DH2's second week:

Mon: 18.6m (577.6m)

Tue: 17.9m (595.5m)

Wed: 19.5m (615m)

JW is playing much more like a family movie, with very strong weekends, but weaker weak days.

DH2 is one of the most frontloaded movies types ever, so it's logical it's going to drop harder I think.
