Hey FOX, you sure you want to give Alien to Blomkamp?

He makes incredibly good looking films that are relatively cheap to produce. I'm sure they're perfectly happy to let him play with the Aliens universe.

Maybe the Aliens will be an oppressed group by the Weylend company in Blomkamp's Alien sequel, I don't think hes given up on trying to remake that District 9 glory yet.

Ya know, you guys wouldnt be going on and on about Neil Blumpkincamps "career fall" if yall hadnt put him on such a high pedistal to begin with, after 1 movie.

I think it was really hard for a lot of people not to get really excited and hype up a new heavyweight visionary after District 9, that movie came out of nowhere.

Blomkamp has really good style, I loved District 9, but I really did find Elysium to be heavy-handed and counterproductive with the logic it used (plus the movie as a whole wasn't really good either.  I don't hate it as much as I used to, simply because a lot of that hate was to high of expectations).

Blomkamp seems to be following Zack Snyder's trajectory

300:Watchmen:Guardians/Sucker Punch::D9:Elysium:Chappie

Except D9 is hundred times better than 300.  300 was just a stylized gimmick of visuals and slooooo mooooo that people have moved on from.

Based On critical reception, I would almost say he is more like a M. Night than Snyder. Except he has ready blown through his good will from audiences which Night somehow managed to hold on to for a long time.

D9 was great. Such a well made movie on a low budget. Plus, the main character was pretty likable.

Elysium was decent enough but I hated the main character. He was completely unlikable. He was kind of a dick lol. Plus, the movie itself felt over preachy with its message.

I think it would be good for him to direct a movie that he doesn't write the script for and not have as much control over.
