Johnson will voice Miles’ reluctant mentor, Peter Parker, while Schreiber playing the larger-than-life crime lord Kingpin. Hailee Steinfeld will play spunky, free-spirited Spider-Gwen. Moonlight Oscar winner Ali will provide the voice for Miles’ uncle Aaron while Atlanta star Henry will voice Miles’ father Jefferson. Rounding out the cast is Velez as Miles’ mother Rio, and the legendary Tomlin as Aunt May.

Was totally expecting it to bomb when it was first announced but HOLYCRAP what a trailer and I liked the 1st one too. This could give Aquaman a serious run for it's money. I think 150M+ DOM is definitely possible and 200M+ won't surprise me either.

The award is basically I2's to lose this year, but I hope this at least makes it in.

Why does the animation look so much like when you take off your glasses during a 3D film showing? I am not crazy about that, to be frank.

I am still not sold on this film, but I am open to Miles Morales being Spidey.

One of the cool things about the trailer, in my opinion, is that with Spider Gwen and Miles appearing on the big screen, it is clear that the studios are not "afraid" anymore of what many fanboys considered a "dilluting" of a brand when different iterations of iconic superheroes were introduced. Meaning that maybe down the road we might get a Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew) film or a new Supergirl movie, both of which I would love to see.

The beginning was a little wonky with the art style, but this really started getting good very quickly. I hope to God this breaks out and does something huge.
