The anime got an upgrade, the games are pretty addicting, and the Pokemon are actually not piles of poop or gears so it's not that bad. I mean, it's not reinvigorating like DPP but a strong offering nonetheless. By the way, don't believe a word that comes out of IGN with their review for the Hoenn remakes.... Much of the negative reaction has to do with them rebooting it with women. A Ghostbusters reboot has been in the cards for a long time (remember the idea of Murray and Ackroyd passing the torch to Paul Rudd and the like?) and not many had a problem with it until Paul Feig announced his all-female concept. At the very least there wasn't this level of vitriol. How many reboots have been successful? Batman Begins, Star Trek, Casino Royale, Rise of the Apes...nearly all of them. There's no logical reason to hate this movie before we've seen a single second of footage, especially with a proven director like Feig on board. If you think what I'm saying is mere conjecture just take a look around the interwebs and see...plenty of people hating on it for suspiciously bro-like reasons. The fact that they're adding Batman feels a little to soon using the character again like when Sony rebooted the Spider-Man series, it's not bad but not very interesting. Thats still +70M on Winters Soldier which came of the well received Avengers, Captain America: Civil War is coming of AoU and that had dropped too. I don't think any comic book film is going to to better then say Avengers unless it's something that really feels different. Enter Suicide Squad. Not that I think it will do anywhere near TA, but I do think it is going to easily steal the spotlight from BvS and Civil War for CBM of the year. It is something really different for the genre. About as different as we've seen attempted.

Yes, you get the odd idiot woman-hater, but they are a vast minority The main reason I dislike this reboot (other than a few cast choices) is the fact that it completely disregards the originals. It's ridiculous to call the movie Ghostbusters and just act like the movies never happened. Jurassic World, Star Wars, Star Trek etc, have all proved that continuity makes a difference.

It's probably just me, tought. But you shouldn't think that because it's different it's necessarily going to bring in huge crowds. Doesn't seem like something to bring your kids to. It's cool though, that we're getting some very interesting new concepts for superhero movies next year: BvS and CW with the inner battle, Deadpool with the R rating, Suicide Squad with the group of villains, Doctor Strange directed by a horror director, Gambit not really happening. All good stuff.

Scamp4553
Here are my predictions. 01. Batman Vs. Superman $175m, $500m 02. Rogue One $144m, $475m 03. Captain America: Civil War $151m, $445m 04. Finding Dory $130m, $430m 05. Suicide Squad $84m, $355m 06. Fantastic Beasts $118m, $337m 07. X Men: Apocalypse $100m, $333m 08. Alice Through The Looking Glass $77m, $318m 09. Moana $81m, $308m 10. Zootopia $71m, $252m 11. Star Trek: Beyond $68m, $242m 12. Doctor Stange $63m, $238m 13. Ghostbusters $65m, $234m 14. Secret Life Of Pets $70m, $233m 15. Independence Day 2 $83m, $232m 16. The Jungle Book $51m, $218m 17. Warcraft $56m, $214m 18. Angry Birds Movie $48m, $193m 19. Kung Fu Panda 3 $55m, $188m 20. Ride Along 2 $61m, $182m 21. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 $50m, $174m 22. Deadpool $64m, $173m 23. Passengers $48m, $161m 24. Bourne 5 $47m, $151m 25. Assassin's Creed $40m, $151m The Batman and Superman movie will probably end up being the highest grosser of 2016, as Captain America will probably burn off a little bit faster, as most Marvel films do. Finding Dory will be the biggest animated hit of the year, and Disney overall will have all three of its animated flicks as the Top 3 highest grossing animations of the year, while Illumination's Secret Life Of Pets won't be very far behind. Rogue One will of course be a champion of December, but it's almost impossible for it to have a record breaking rampage like Force Awakens has. In fact, no movie this year will do that well. Billion dollar movies will be: Batman Vs Superman, Captain America, Finding Dory, Rogue One, and potentially Fantastic Beasts.

MrFanaticGuy34
Ted 2 wasn't in 3D....and it was a comedy sequel. That film dropped due to the badwill from Seth MacFarlene's last film "A Million Ways to Die in the West".....and it was against Jurassic World & Inside Out. It's been a while, it's opening against Apocalypse, it's a sequel nobody wanted, and much of Alice's original success was due to being the first film to hop on board the 3D craze post-Avatar and being the first blockbuster post-Avatar. Maybe I'll be wrong, but a massive drop seems incoming.
