That is why I don't participate in such threads and find them a waste of time.

It must feel good when you get an ambitious prediction spot on though, like this guy:

No love for deadpool?

It well be lucky to break 100M. Honestly it just looks like a really shitty movie

Damn, and that Zootopia prediction was before its final trailer. I would have considered it foolish to predict that high back then.

Just now, Ethan Hunt said:

Why? The Sloth trailer is the one that got butts in the seats

Well, the final trailer is what told me that the movie would live up to its early announcement in 2013.

Also, a merely silly funny animal movie doesn't get to $300 M domestic. It didn't work for Madagascar, Ice Age, Kung Fu Panda or Rio.

It's a bit too late to post lists here.

Not really... we've only had 6 $130 million+ grossers thus far.

We have no clue how the majority of this year's top grossers will perform

If it were November, yes, but we're not even half way through 2016 yet.

With the 'summer season' barely started, does anyone highly anticipate any of the remaining summer 2016 movies?

Independence Day 2, XMen, Finding Dory, Mutant Turtles 2, Suicide Squad, Bourne, etc. will open big and quite a few will be enjoyable but there don't seem to be any upcoming 4 quadrant behemoths either. Normal blockbusters...which is fine.

Well, quite a few of those movies seem like 4 quadrant movies. Maybe they won't be bigger than Captain America 3, but hey.

Independence Day: Resurgence is going to be your surprise 4 quad blockbuster.  You also left off Secret Life of Pets as that will have a chance at $300m domestic.

Finding Dory is definitely 4-quadrant... its G rating makes it accessible to young kids and if it ends up being an excellent followup, buzz could be through the roof.
