It seems like a lot of people on here are saying their audiences laughed at the trailer, interesting.

Yea. I'm just confused because they're saying folks were laughing when the guy got eaten. Like I don't understand why thats so funny. How was the reaction at your theater? Unless you didn't get the trailer.

it would be a good trailer if you take out that shark jump, i don't know what they were thinking with that. The vfx looks so bad.

Anyways predictions:

18m OW

50m DOM

When that happened someone in my theater yelled "SHARKNADO!!!!" lol

I love how a bunch of nerds and nerdettes who worship at the altar of superhero battles thinks that this trailer looks dumb.

Those nerds and nerdettes are a big portion of the GA so........

Yes and no. I don't consider comic book nerds to have the same opinion on movies as the GA. Comic book nerds can fawn all over a super hero movie and the GA could just be like meh. The GA could also love a certain movie that comic book nerds don't like at all. While this movie could be absolute trash (or it could be really good, who knows) I wouldn't guess the box office numbers of this movie based solely on the reaction of comic book nerds to its trailer. Especially when the target audience of this film is not the comic book nerd. But thats just me.

Is there a reason you always have to generalize and put everyone in cliques? This isn't Mean Girls.

There's probably nothing in there warranting an R rating.

I mean that's usually why movies aren't rated R. But some people thought it would get an R rating to make the shark attacks more violent/bloody/graphic. Personally it's a survival film so I don't think they needed to go the R rating way but I wouldn't have complained if it was.

Btw Fandango has this coming out July 1st. Is a limited release June 29th and then going wide on July 1st? I'm not sure how some of these mid-week opening films work.

Oh, rue the day since when I can no longer change my screen name (on a budget).

In a few months it would have been: The ShaYllows...

I cannot freakin' wait for this. I just hope the theater is as packed as possible.

that's clever
