MCKillswitch123
2017 superhero movies ranked in anticipation: Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 - GOTG is still my favorite MCU film, the sequel looks amazing The Lego Batman Movie - Loved The Lego Movie + all the trailers, on top of Batman being TLM's best part Logan - How could I not look forward for The Last Of Us: Wolverine edition Wonder Woman - DCEU has yet to impress me but the trailers have killed it, looks very well shot despite me being tired of the Snyder-esque slow mo action Spider-Man: Homecoming - I'm worried about them potentially wasting Keaton, but Holland was awesome in Civil War Thor: Ragnarok - Thor movies are the MCU's weakest link, though Waititi + Planet Hulk + Blanchett could provide a winning formula Justice League - Snyder's burned me twice, no way I'm letting my expectations get to me

Haley Ross
Thor Ragnarok is my most anticipated CBM next year almost solely based on Taika Waititi. Hulk, Hela, Valkyrie, Grandmaster, Skurge, Surtur, possibly Fenris, taking place almost entirely away from Earth, 70-80's action/fantasy film tone, etc. wouldn't interest me nearly as much without him at the helm. And I believe him when he says it will be Marvel's most "out there" movie.
Emerald kikyou
My ranking of superhero movies for 2016: 1-BvS 2-Civil War 3-Apocolyps The rest (SS - DP - DS ) I did not like enough to rank, though I think both DP and SS deserve honorable mentions for great marketing and great casting ( at least I loved their characters a lot but did not like the movies that much ). DS has cool visuals but that's about it. Ranking of my most anticipated superhero movies for 2017: 1-Justice league ( My heroes in one big movie , I can't wait! The footage we got from comic con and the BTS were enough to hype me to the max) 2-Wonder Woman ( The trailers were amazing ,The biggest female superhero to date! I conciser it the first too because I like to pretend that Elektra and Catwoman did not happen) 3-Logan ( The trailer blew me away <3 and the joel/last of us vibe made it even more epic) 4-Spider Man homecoming ( even though I did not like the new spidy that much -he was one of the few things that annoyed me in CW- but I want to see him carry his own movie to judge) I am neutral to lego Batman ( not my type of Batman but it might end up being fun to watch) , Thor ( I am not a fan of Hulk and the idea of planet Hulk and him taking screen time from Thor and Luki made me loose some interest in this movie) and GOTG2 ( Never liked the first one that much to begin with ,so I don't think this will be any different).

Walt Disney
I think that GOTG 2 wins the superhero war next year. This will be Disney/Marvel's most vulnerable year in the superhero showdown this decade. Since Disney bought Marvel at the end of 2009, Disney/Marvel has won the superhero showdown every year. However, facing Wonder Woman and Justice League will be no picnic. If Disney/Marvel wins the superhero showdown in 2017, then I think they will win every year this decade because 2018 and 2019 are both looking strong. That is quite the level of dominance. I expect Guardians to be absolutely massive and Wonder Woman will have a hard time matching Thor 2 numbers, which Ragnarok should be able to beat, provided that it's good (please, Taika). robertman2
Civil War is an excellent superhero movie on par with classics like Spider-Man 2, Batman Returns and Superman II, Doctor Strange is pure special effects porn, Deadpool proves R rated movies are still viable, and had a heart too, Suicide Squad was a fun, if rough, romp. Dawn of Justice EU is pure shit, with Affleck saving it from being a unwatchable, bloated mess that is way too serious for its own good. And enough with the damn Christ allegories. We get it, Superman is Space Jesus! And Apocalypse was just kinda there.
robertman2
Lego Batman, Gaurdians, Logan, Ragnorok, and Spidey are most anticipated movies. WW has potential, while Justice League will be lucky to 40% on Rotten Tomatoes

Got the GOTG 2 trailer for DS and had to do a trick to cover my eyes and ears. Whatever was in that trailer, the crowd was laughing a LOT. I'm glad it will be funny to me when I finally watch the movie instead of seeing a joke I've seen in a trailer 10 times. I'll see them all so it probably doesn't actually matter which one I'm anticipating the most. Some I will like more than I thought and some I will like less than I thought. 1-GOTG 2 (I'll be surprised if I don't like that one) 2-Spidey (CW got me excited for SM for the first time in years) 3-Thor 3 (Curious to see if the Hulk is a real character for the first time ever) 4-JL (Hope they surprise me) 5-WW (Not sold on Gadot at all. She'll have to act better than in BvS) 6-Logan (no interest at all but I'll see it at some point anyway)

Lego Batman 420m Hmm, I don't know, I think Lego Batman, Justice League and Spider-Man all have a shot at a billion if they truly show up as something good or better than good. JLA isn't opening as high as BVS but it may benefit from stronger legs if it captures the more audience friendly tone the trailer showed it would. Lego Batman I'm championing as a breakout in all fronts, it has no family competition, Deadpool (a superhero movie released in the same weekend, w/similar tongue in cheek marketing sensibilities) reached nearly 800M despite being R-rated and banned in China, and TLM did almost 500M despite no previous goodwill. Nevermind the fact that it's fuckin' BATMAN. And Spidey has reached 900M before, wouldn't be that surprised if it breaks the franchise's record considering the reaction to Tom Holland's Parker in the billion grosser Civil War, + RDJ as Tony Stark's presence. Still, I don't think they'll actually make it, I'm just saying that they all have a strong shot if you ask me. Won't be as "not even close" as you call it. This is how I think will go: GOTG Vol. 2 - 1.1B Lego Batman - 900M Spider-Man: Homecoming - 850M Justice League - 820M Thor: Ragnarok - 725M Wonder Woman - 700M Logan - 500M Edited November 6, 2016 by MCKillswitch123
