WOW the arguments in this forum are becoming dumber and dumber.

That is literally your argument. The flag is shown in the film, but somehow it's a problem that they don't specifically show it being planted.

Pretending to care about "historical accuracy", even though actual historical accuracy would feature them fumbling around trying to plant the flag for three minutes, not the double anime backflip slamming the flag into the ground with bald eagles emerging from the pole certain folk appear to be demanding.

It's not so much historical accuracy as it was an opportunity to capture one of the most iconic images ever in cinematic glory. We all know historical dramas smooth over the rough parts but they usually don't leave out the most iconic moments. I don't care that the planting isn't in the movie but I can understand why it would rustle some jimmies, including apparently the Second Man.

By "leave out" I clearly mean that you don't actually see the moment on screen. That simple...

You don’t see Neil Armstrong being born or all of the details of the shuttle being made.  I guess that means the film is pretending those never happened either.

Wait until the "Moon Hoax" beleivers  get started on this film.....

Hum curious how it will play out, if the footage in the movie look a lot like the real footage maybe they will love the movie and use it as a sign that it would have been easy to fake them.

the movie looks modern so no it won't look like early TV (low resolution) it was the best they could do at the time given the tech hurdles they jumped thru to make it a reality

They can't take the Moon away from us even if they try, it is an American achievement, not  a "global" one no matter what Gosling says.

Good to see the those close to it and still alive speaking out.

Hopefully we reach Mars first. :jeb!:

it's funny how Americans really want credit for landing on the moon whilst all the other countries just laugh at them for being foolish enough to waste all them millions just to play golf when they get there.
