You know...I wonder....is there a chance TFA could top Gone with the Wind's adjusted BO gross? I think there's a 0.01% chance it might happen. Now that would be truly and fantastically insane.

But I'm satisfied with it beating Avatar's adjusted gross.

I can't help.... I think that all here sounds a liiiittle bit insane

Decreasing ticket sales... bad summer, so many other possibilities like 5.7" mobiles, game

Satisfied with.... A few weeks back based on the summer's numbers, who would have thought that?

The Peanuts Movie opens with estimated £3.8m in the UK, including previews.

Daddy's Home lands with strong UK opening of around £1.7m from 437 sites.

I'm holding out a secret hope it beats Star Wars adjusted, but it'd need some truly monstrous holds over January.  The fact that it's going to beat Avatar should be wow enough.

I'm confused?  When has solid ever been a term for disappointment?

Ive already expressed it's a fantastic number.  It's not mindblowing based on how the movies been performing, but that doesn't make me disappointed.

It's like saying I don't think a movie is worth seeing unless I give it an A+

But it's the best 2nd weekend by far. How is that only solid?

nah by the time official weekend projections come out the Sat gross is always set and stone and Sunday might be prone to change a bit. But yeah RTH under predicted Sat and it is going to stay at $55m

None of the numbers from December 24th and onward are actuals right now.

Because of holidays.
