I wonder if this will be another top-heavy year with a few mega hits and everything else below or just over 200M. It seems like another year with more 300m+ movies than 200m+ movies.

I can see the # of 200M+ movies record going down.

That 2.1 for Zoo is AMAZING..... really changes the weekend dynamic and gives it a shot at passing BvS.

Otherwise Friday looks normal for the rest of the film's considering 40m in new competition opened between 2 films. I think we tend to forget what that does to showtimes and screens for the other films. Boss looks bad week to week but being up 150% from Friday is actually decent.

So what do we think will be the live action Disney film coming in December 2017?

I'm hoping for it to be Dumbo, but it could also be Mulan, which is also great.

Maybe Tinkerbell.

But, but, genie s gone now...

:(

Well, they could snatch Robin's original voice work for the animated movie and place it here, on top of a well CGIfied Genie.

Let's face it: I don't think anybody envisions anybody but him as Genie. And without Genie, Aladdin doesn't exist. So yeah, Disney, WATCH OUT. WATCH THE FUCK OUT.
