Counting down the days till I can rewatch it in its Criterion blu-ray glory.

I saw it on shitty YouTube quality and twice on British bluray. My 2nd favorite Welles. Even Baumer would have to admit that battle scene is an all-timer.

It's not even close. Scream alone is better than Conjuring 1 and 2 combined worth. Conjuring is great genre filmmaking. Scream was a masterpiece.

Yeah, I love Scream. It was the first R-rated movie that I saw. :)

I'd say PA1 and PA3 > Conjuring 1 and 2 as well.

Never been a fan of the PAs.

Can't wait for wizards and star wars to jump in on this list.

Scary part of this is there's still two more super-hero movies and a few more talking animal movies yet to come this year. The top 16 will be completely superheroes and talking animals by the end of the year with the exception of Rogue One and Fantastic Beast.

Lol that's what happens when Hollywood shits the bed on everything else. Half the summer has been a dumpster fire.

Moana will definitely make the top 16. It's animated but I don't think it should count as talking animals.

Fantastic Beasts is definitely not going to be in the top 10 this year. 200 mill tops

I dunno, I honestly think it could open with 90-100M. Potter legs were never great in the later years, but I think it could have a 2.5 multiplier.

Hey we have polynesians, Jason Bourne, a boy and a NON-TALKING dragon, Denzel's cowboys, football, some chick on some train, and JLaw in space to potentially add to Star Wars, wizards, superheroes, and talking animals in the top 16. So HA, take that no diversity whiners!! :P

Ah, yes. The season of pretentious bore-a-thons is coming. Luckily for the studios, those colorful and entertaining talking animals and blockbusters earn enough let them fund mostly low-grossing Oscar-bait every fall. And since the Academy has diversified ever so slightly, maybe a few colored folks might get nominations this year.
