Cute but seems a little bit too predictable in terms of story. Let's see if Paul King (here it's the screenplayer too like for the paddingtons, which are great) didn't miss this time too. 

 

Do you know who wrote the songs?.

I did think, and have always said that he was pretty good in Lady Bird. But from what I gather that character is the closest he's played to what he's like IRL so might just be that.

Chamalet really does not feel like Wonka, his attempts to be cheerful dont feel natural and he doesn't seem weird enough. He should stick to projects with moody characters. It also doesn't look as "magical" as I feel it needs to be, bit too grounded; but "from the director of Paddington" goes a long way for me so I'm still interested
