Kind of getting annoyed by this pattern of "[Insert actor here] is totally going to be in [insert MCU project here] and anything said to the contrary shouldn't be believed." and then if it doesn't happen or their role is smaller than it was hyped up to be people are disappointed.

Blame NWH. Charlie Cox and Andrew Garfield kept denying that they were in that movie, which was obviously a lie.

I remember Garfield denying he was in it, never heard   Cox. In fact his cameo came a complete surprise to me.

Of course, as usual, Feige was  planting something for the future..the cameo was a clever way to begin the return of Matt Murdoch/Daredevil to the MCU.

So is this actually going to be an MCU film, per se, or will it still be a Fox universe Deadpool film that crosses with the MCU? I guess at the end of the day with the multiverse being established it's ALL the MCU in a way but you could still differentiate between a Fox universe film and the main MCU in the same way that Venom is a Sony universe movie even though he appeared in a post credits scene for NWH.

I think it will be a fox universe film for the most part. Given that Wolverine is also in it. Which is still something I can´t get my head around. But maybe it ends in the MCU main universe at the end?

It'll start in the Foxverse and since it's the Multiverse saga, they'll travel to the MCU. At least that's what makes the most sense.
