Will Disney campaign for Shape of Water, The Post, and Three Billboards? Posting this here may be just trolling, but it actually seems oddly plausible if the deal goes through.

Pretty sure the deal doesn't actually take effect until 2019.

The fact that a movie should have to campaign to get recognition just shows how pointless and innacurate oscars are. Take a film for what it is, a campaign should make no difference to the quality of a film.

it makes sense there are hundreds of movies that are released every year. How do expect the voting members to remember every movie that came out that year and what to watch? Campaign lot of time is sending screeners out or doing screening for the voters to see the movie.

Im talking about the blatant bullshit directors like david o russell do when he goes around to visit people with bi polar pretending to really care about the illness when in reality all he is doing is trying to get himself a golden statue.

All the Money in the World had mixed reactions, but everyone agreed Christopher Plummer is great in the movie.

The Shape of Water, The Disaster Artist, and I, Tonya all had great reception

I feel like including the LA Times article was a subtle attempt for that paragraph dedicated to Mother at the bottom more so than All The Money in the World

I fear another Fury Road situation where nominations were the movie's reward.

Fury Road won 6 oscars and was nominated for 10.. A bit of a strange narrative to say that it was unappreciated by the academy with that one ?

I'm talking about major awards. Get Out could win BP unless they chicken out of awarding a horror comedy.
