Also, when do we start to consider the effects of the virus on global film production? Blockbuster productions travel the world, carrying large amounts of people who work closely, with expensive talent, are going to have some difficulties. Mission Impossible 7 scrapping a 3-week Italy shoot is just the beginning. It's not just this year's slate that's threatened. It's next year's slate, the films that need a global pandemic-free working environment.

I am more interested in knowing how many shows other chains had.

MTC 2 had 90% occupancy. That's really impressive. About $325k gross on 219 shows. MTC 3 might be around $150k I guess. @ZackM wanna hear about MTC 4.

 

I will go for $0.65-7mn Approx.

Yeaaaah, think I'm calling off the Mulan tracking locally.  Turns out I accidentally gave it 13 too many tickets yesterday due to counting a row of unavailable seats that I shouldn't have (Thr number was correct, FWIW). And today it, ironically, only sold 13 tickets region wide, dropping it even below the pace of Pika Pika (which got 33 tickets on its third day).  That gives it 63.82% of Aladdin (4.46m) and 113.52% of Pika Pika (6.47m) after three days of sales.

 

Prob keep an eye on it, but I think that first day rush was exactly that.  So pulling the ripcord on that.

 

As for AQP II....

 

Well it increased as a comp against It 2, I'll give it that.  But it sold 24 tickets region wide, pulling it to 72/8366 (0.86%) which was 24.32% of It 2 (2.55m) after two days.  A whopping increase of .25m in comp.

 

So... very very likely to pull the ripcord on that as well.  See what tomorrow brings.

You could be right. I dont know how many shows it has nationally.

(Mulan, on the other hand, might be coming right in line with a 40 to 50 OW which is why I am not quite on board with blaming everything on Plagueapalooza 2020)

lets hope mulan, starts to pick up and have a great ow , anyway first lets see how onward will do

87.5% of Coco ($44.45M OW)

123.5% of The Secret Life of Pets 2 ($58.92M OW)

 

Looks pretty strong. Think Grinch, Coco and Pets 2 are the best comparisons for it, the average of the three gives us about $53M OW so $55M-$60M OW seems like a good bet.

I don't have anything for advanced screenings.  I've been wildly busy lately, but I was going to start tracking Onward's OW today.
