Why would Nolan make another CBM when he's made arguably the greatest CBM of all time?

It just seems unecessary when his film is considered the pinnacle of comic book films and his trilogy is also one of the best if not the best.

In fairness he made another CBM after the greatest CBM ever lol.

Local just added an extra 10:31pm showing for WW tonight...other local added an extra 7:30pm showing, so they both added a showing at the last minute today...hope the trend continues tomorrow...

EDIT: And in better news, one of the two locals gave it another full screen starting Saturday (made this change in last hour)...this theater will now have 16 showings, not 12 for Saturday and Sunday...

Realistically speaking, what total worldwide gross would encourage WB to greenlight a WW sequel? I am scared... :-(

Why are you scared? The budget was, depending on what you believe, between $125-150M. Realistically it'll make $600-700M WW (perhaps more). Add to that critical praise and a sequel is assured. GOTG1 made $773M WW off of a $170M budget, was there any question of it getting a sequel?

He also has to keep producing results in fairness.

You would think so, but then again WB loves Snyder and he has produced numerous flops. Given this fact, what do you think their view of Nolan is? There was an article a couple years ago in either the WSJ or NYT that made it sound like he is a god on the WB lot. More power than any of the executives there.

Hilarious that it's not just geeks on the Internet that worship him.

He made one -- it was called INCEPTION.

And then just for good measure, Mendes made a Nolan Bond as well -- SKYFALL.

:)

THANK YOU

I say this all the time haha Mendes even admits it

It's only $125m if you don't believe the director but yes even if it did $500m WW it would get a sequel.
