36.1mil became 40+mil when?

My bad. I stopped paying attention to that weekend by Friday night. Still don't see how that's disappointing though. The legs it had were awful but it's OW was still pretty good.

Yes Tomato Law that didn't work with Alien Covenant.

It worked on OW. After that it is the WOM job to hold the movie. WOM was toxic.

These are the predictions I came up with yesterday

Quote

Pre: $2.0M
Wed: $4.3M/$6.3M
Thu: $3.7M -13.95%/-41.27%
Fri: $6.2M +67.57%
Sat: $7.4M +19.35%
Sun: $7.2M -2.70%

OW: $20.9M
2nd: $11.5M -44.71%
3rd: $7.5M -34.78%
4th: $4.3M -42.67%

DOM: $87M
INT: $60M
WW: $147M

I'm hoping for at least $6M today to keep the $30M 5-day dream alive. Should be doable since the same ratio to OD as TF5 got would put Baby Driver at $5.7M today.

Seems premature to say that Wonder Woman passed Suicide Squad yesterday.  $3.9M even puts it about $30k short, and Gitesh was high by a bit more than $20k on Monday.

Really? Today, tomorrow, either way it's surpassing it. We're not talking a difference of a few million here.

Didn't even work on OW to be honest.

It worked on like...previews. Maybe OD.

Next stop JFK.

The serious role!

I have not seen BD yet, but from the trailer Ansel reminds me of Cruise in Risky Business. I think this is his defying breakout role. He's gonna have a bright acting future

Am I the only one who thinks that Baby Driver number is good but that people need to wait and see what it does throughout the rest of the week before calling it some huge Breakout that makes over 100 million?

nope, not just you.  This number literally proves nothing of how it will do either way :P

But this is a box office site so people like to use it to keep the talk going which makes sense :)
