Unless it nosedives, it's probably going to finish in the low to mid 20s, not far off from Hell of High Water's $27m

I think the word of mouth among the general public is stronger on WR than it was on Hell. Plus WR has a bit more female appeal.

Homecoming has outlasted all July releases expect DK which is a spot above :sparta:

This is the beautiful Sony-MCU lovechild you get when you combine MCU's looks with MCU's brains.

So is there any reason why Leap was animated?

Well, the directors (Éric Summer & Éric Warin) and the original distribution companies for Ballerina (Leap) (Entertainment One "Canada" & Gaumont "France"), felt it would be more family-friendlier and work better in animation.

And honestly....they succeeded at making it more visually-appealing. More-so than Sony's The Emoji Movie.

Studios have no clue how to schedule movies. Absolutely no clue. The last big PG-13 blockbuster with teen/young adult appeal was SMH!!!

Sounds like Spidey might keep theaters til October if everything coming really is R...that's unbelievable to me, to not having anything for teens to hit on Friday/Saturday night except an animated movie...

Teens will get into It and Kingsman somehow, but they can't be goofing off.
