Labor Day Weekend Thread: The Death of Box Office | Posting or Discussing Any Weekend Numbers = Banned | Pokémon or True Detective gifs Are Allowed

WAR OF APES needs 146.5m dom to hit 2.60x multiplier.

Will it get there? Had a 1m 3-day weekend and is 2.25m away.

RISE was 3.23x and DAWN was 2.87x. The sequelitis would have been easily digestible if it had opened to say, 65-70m and done close to 2.60x for 170-180 dom.

Lmao, I just heard an ad for Baywatch on the radio. FUCKING HELL PARAMOUNT, MARKET mother!

They are desperate to sell some Blurays for Baywatch.

mother! is a somewhat low budget, probably hard to watch, film. I have no idea why people are trying to put Blockbuster numbers on it? It's not a blockbuster type of film, stop trying to turn it into one. Lawrence's mainstream movie is Red Sparrow, not mother!

Dunkirk since it's the only good movie of the four (haven't seen All Saints but I doubt it's good).

Thanks to solid legs Spidey has retained 2000+ theaters after nine weekends.

I think it's steady run on the lower side will continue and it will challenge GOTG1.

These estimates are freaking insane. A +29.4% for a $3.6m Labour Weekend without we even seeing the Monday makes $330m a lock and topping Spider-Man 3 for the biggest Spider-Man film of all time now doesn't look so crazy, does it? :P
