There is part of it that is probably not too hard to be semi descent, a lot of it would probably look to the study result exec got handed to them from the past, stuff like scoring actors by quadrant by markets, list of closest recent movie comparable performance by market, I doubt it is only that.

 

It could quite more complex than that in how the AI judge and try to predict interest (could even create account, test concept and look at reaction to them).

I'm trying to remember ever being impressed with a Josh Hartnett performance but can't really claim so, at least as far as that brief period where Hollywood hyped him up as The Next Big Star is concerned (haven't checked out anything he's done since). Maybe he's developed acting chops over the years outside of the limelight.
