Ayyyyy. What's remarkable for me is I've actually only seen front-to-back once, in the theater (actually exactly 8 years ago) and so many images and entire scenes are so fresh in my mind I may as well have watched it yesterday. Still think it's the best thing he did this century.

Watched Boogie Nights projected on 35mm. Couldn't stand the PTA films I've seen but I try to watch any film that comes to my town on film reel. Very pleasantly surprised, I thought it was great. Was really engaged by it, the performances are great, I love the framing and the way the camera moves around. The violent climax really quite shocked me but was very satisfying. 

I was also surprised by how funny it is, and it just gets funnier and funnier as the film progresses. Everyone in the audience was laughing. Think I will give PTA another go and check out some of his other films
