Still doesnt top the epic journey that was New Mutants.

Great point, but I'd argue Empty Man had it worse, since at least Disney actually bothered to update the Fox intro (the studio was rebranded as 20th Century Studios earlier that year) for New Mutants. Empty Man not only had the old Fox intro at the beginning, but also a copyright notice dated fucking 2018. 2018!!!

Top Gun: Maverick has had the most amusingly turbulent journey to release out of everything in recent years IMO. That movie began filming in May of 2018 for an original intended release date of July 2019, then three months later ended up delayed almost a whole year. Marketing began almost a year before its Summer 2020 release date. Since then it has been pushed back multiple times due to reasons beyond their control and is now set to be released practically four years to the day from when they began shooting it.

Friends, we are in hell

“Morbius” Director Daniel Espinosa says No Way Home didn’t change film, credits Avi Arad for coming up with the multiverse

https://comicbook.com/marvel/news/morbius-spider-man-no-way-home-delay-reshoots/

Quote

"Yes and no," Espinosa tells ComicBook.com when asked if the crew went back to work following Spider-Man: No Way Home's success. "You know, because the idea of the kind of parallel universes was really introduced, not into the kind of Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it was introduced within the, within cinema, if you'd call it in Spider-Verse, which was released by Sony and, you know produced by Avi Arad, who also produced Morbius. So the concept of, you know, of starting to work with, you know, parallel kind of verses was something that existed prior to the Spider-Man movie. And it's also been something that has existed for years in comic books. You know, us who read comic books, we knew about it, you know for like 15 or 20 years, you know, as soon as the kind of clone era died with Spider-Man, you know, the verses kind kind of took a hold. And so, but when Spider-Man came there were certain kind of visual elements of how those kind of transitions looked like that were informative."

really, i bet a lot of locals believe its a marvel movie

Technically it is a Marvel movie and Sony - smartly - is not being shy about it being a Marvel property in their marketing. Though the situation was a bit different being a Marvel property didn't save New Mutants or Dark Phoenix.

So, this French reviewer who saw the movie at the Paris premiere has revealed the two post credit scenes for this movie:

Here's a translation from Reddit:

Spoiler

According to a review I saw there are 2 post-credits scenes in Morbius.

The first starts with the purple space-time rifts at the end of NWH. As everyone gets pulled out of the MCU to other universes, Adrian Toomes gets pulled out from the MCU to whatever universe Morbius is set in, he appears in a prison. He gets invested on because he just appeared in a cell like that. They release him because he didn't do anything in this universe.

The second one starts with Morbius driving a car then Vulture flies (yes he has the suit) to him saying he wants revenge on Spider-Man, Morbius accepts setting up the Sinister Six.

I don't know how any of this makes sense but apparently that's what happens.

those 2 were bad examples since they were delayed many times and having reshoots, were completely panned, also NM released during the pandemic... this looks to me like it'll do around 300m

Spoiler

Why not just set it in the same universe instead of doing all this "traveling to other universes" shit? They're going to end up in the same universe anyway so it doesn't really matter. All they're adding is a bunch of logistical nonsense no one cares about
